Music Style Analysis

Music Style Analysis:

For my composition I would like to be able to create a pop piece of music. This style of music is relaxing to listen to and can create either an upbeat mood or a saddening mood. This style of music can have a very big impact on someone's mood. This type of music is often played/ broadcasted via radio stations. Examples of this type of music would be; love yourself by Justin Bieber, 24K magic by Bruno mars, My House by Flo Rida and Hello by Adele. These all have either upbeat backings or low and sad backings. This therefore has an effect on the mood whether this is a good or bad effect. The reason for me choosing this area of music is because I like to listen to music that can relax me and that can help me adapt ideas within work. Music can also be used as a stimulus and adapt people's work in many areas. Example of areas that music could be used to stimulus and adapt people's work other than in Music could be Art, Drama, Design Technology and many other areas. This could be good for more complex  ideas and this could even help people find what their true self is.

Below I have added an audio file link and in the file contains a track that will play all of my favourite songs. Underneath this audio file link is a list of all the different music that is played and who is the artist.

My composition that I have submitted is in the style of pop. This composition starts with an abnormal start that has a range of instruments. For example we have used wind instruments as well as bass, guitar, drums and piano. This suits the pop music genre as it has the use of the basic instruments that are used in almost every style of music. If this composition was to have lyrics I would compare it to a similar style/ genre to 'Dark song' by Katy Perry.

My second composition has lyrics that is also a pop song. The stimulus for this song was Brother by Kodaline. My composition is based on a personal situation like the song from Kodaline. This also includes bass, drums, piano and will include guitar and possibly body percussion.
